good luck making it up to me.

when i was younger, i wrote papers on being truthful.
since then, i have been lied to by one too many people.
i hate lies.
a person could disrespect me in seven different ways, and it would suck.
but in the end i wouldn't care too much.
however.
if you lie to me?
hoo boy.
i am not a happy monster.
seriously. please don't lie to me.
if you have the option, choose the truth.

  1. But when someone asks for forgiveness. It doesn't matter if they ask 70 times or more, Jesus said to forgive them

    Matthew 16:14-15
14 For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.

its good to look at our own heart when people wrong us to make sure we are not holding anger or resentment
    Proverbs 14:29
He who is slow to anger has great understanding,But he who is quick-tempered exalts folly.

    Matthew 18:21-22
21 Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, “Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother or sister who sins against me? Up to seven times?”
22 Jesus answered, “I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times.

  2. it's not necessarily about anger, resentment, or forgiveness.
it's about trust. i pray for God to teach me how to forgive, and he does.
but forgiveness doesn't mean i overlook the fact that someone has taken advantage of my trust.
i do agree, i need to forgive. and i do.
but that doesn't mean i forget the fact that someone i trust very much has lied to me. they have broken that trust.
